The one that came with my machine had no way to make sure that it was level and I think I was pressing down way too hard. This takes the guess work out, and my shots are much more consistent now. Its well made and has some weight to it, and I would highly recommend this upgrade to your kit!
Just put it to its first use this morning and its great! Saves a lot of potential waste and makes the tamping process much easier. Will use it every time I use my Breville.
this portafilter, together with the precision basket, worked well together to give me a clean, and sweeter extraction. It took me a while to get dialed in again but now, it (they) work a treat.

Easy to read a wide so no mess
I had been having trouble getting consistent brews. This tamper has eliminated one variable, tamping the puck. This tool has been great for that and now getting much smoother brews. I highly recommend this tamper.
